Criminal Original Petition filed under Section 482 of Criminal Procedure Code, praying this Court to call for the records relating to the case in D.V.No. 10 of 2016 on the file of the Judicial Magistrate No.V, Tirunelveli, and quash the same as against these petitioners allowing this Criminal Original Petition. ORDER:- Criminal Original Petition coming up for hearing on this day and upon perusing the earlier order of this Court and the requisition letter submitted by the Judicial Magistrate No.V, Tirunelveli in D.No.82/2020 dated: 28.09.2020 and upon hearing Mr.P.Samuel Gunasingh, Advocate for the Petitioners, this Court made the following order:

This Court, by order dated 25.02.2020, directed the Judicial Magistrate No.V, Tirunelveli, to conclude the proceedings in D.V.No.10 of 2016, within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of the said order.

2. Now, vide letter dated 28.09.2020, a request has been made by the learned Judicial Magistrate No.V, Tirunelveli, seeking extension of six months time, stating that due to lock down owing to COVID-19 pandemic situation, trial could not be conducted, within the time stipulated by this Court.

3. Considering the request made, time granted by this Court, vide order dated 25.02.2020, in Crl.O.P.(MD)No.22545 of 2016, is extended by six months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
