O R D E R

The petitioners herein are police officials. They are facing trial in C.C.No.66 of 2015 on the file of the Judicial Magistrate No.I, Ramanathapuram, for the offences under Sections 147, 148, 294 (b), 323, 342, 506(i) and 506(ii) r/w. Section 34 of I.P.C.

2. It is a private complaint instituted by the respondent. The respondent herein is a practicing lawyer. I suggested to the learned counsel on either side that the issue should be given a quietus. Accepting the suggestion made by this Court, the petitioners herein had gone to the Bar Association of Ramnad and https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

expressed their regret to the respondent and the same has been accepted also.

3. Therefore, continuance of the impugned prosecution is not warranted. The respondent also has no objection for quashing the impugned prosecution as the issue has been amicably resolved.

4. Recording my happiness, the impugned prosecution stands quashed.

The criminal original petition stands allowed, accordingly. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
