Hameetha Banu, ... 2nd Respondent/ Defacto Complainant Prayer :- This Criminal Original Petition filed under section 482 of Cr.P.C., praying this Court to call for the records relating to S.C.No.563 of 2016 pending on the file of the Learned Sessions Judge, Mahalir Neethimandram, Tirunelveli and quash the same. ORDER:- This Criminal Original Petition coming on for hearing on this day and upon perusing the petition and the affidavit filed in support thereof , and earlier order passed by this Court dated 24.11.2020 and upon perusing the letter received from Sessions Judge, Mahalir Neethimandram Tirunelveli letter dated 13.09.2021 in D.No.835/2021 this Court made the following order: Today, this case is listed under the caption "Extension of Time for Trial Court".

2.It is evident from the records that this Court vide order dated 24.11.2020, has directed the learned Sessions Judge, Mahalir Neethimandram, Thirunelveli, to complete the trial in S.C.No.563 of 2016 within a period of nine months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The learned Sessions Judge, Mahalir Neethimandram, Tirunelveli, has submitted a letter dated 13.09.2021, stating that due to lock down the case could not be disposed of and this case is posted for both side arguments and seeks further three months time for disposal of the said case.

3.Considering the reasons assigned, this Court is inclined to extend the time sought for. Accordingly, three(3) months time is granted to the learned Sessions Judge, Mahalir Neethimandram, Tirunelveli, to disposal of the case in S.C.No.563 of 2016 from today.
