Side) O RDER This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the respondent Police to provide adequate Police Protection to the petitioner for his life and limb based on the representation given by the petitioner dated 18.07.2023.

2. Learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is in absolute possession and enjoyment of the property. Alleging that some land grabbers who are unknown to the petitioner are threatening the petitioner and interfering in his possession, the petitioner has given a representation to the respondent dated 18.07.2023, seeking police protection. Since the same was not provided by the respondent, the present petition came to be filed. 2/5

3. Learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) appearing for the respondent submitted that there is no details about the persons who are making life threat to the petitioner in his representation. If the petitioner provides such details, then the representation of the petitioner will be considered.

4. Even without mentioning the persons at whose hands the petitioner is having life threat, the representation has been made on 18.07.2023. Such sort of representation without any particulars, cannot be entertained by the second respondent herein. The petitioner has to appear before the respondent and give the correct information with regard to the person who is making life threat to him. Only such information is furnished by the petitioner, the second respondent can act.

5. Let the petitioner appear before the respondent police and give details within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. His representation must be disposed of on merits within a period of 15 days thereafter. 3/5
