3.The petitioner sought police protection. Now, almost 4 years have been lapsed and hence, due to the lapse of period, the prayer sought for by the petitioner cannot be granted now. 4.In view of the same, this Criminal Original Petition stands dismissed. No costs. However, the petitioner is at liberty to file a fresh complaint, on fresh cause of action, if so advised. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
