Heard both sides.

2.The prayer in the writ petition is that the respondents should not put up any structure in the petition mentioned survey numbers. 3.When the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Additional Government Pleader on instructions submitted that S.No.12/1 in V.Karisalkulam Village has been classified as natham and that it is measuring 2000 sq. mt. It has been classified as sarkar poramboke and in the remarks column, it is mentioned as Muniyasamy temple and vacant site.

4.It is obvious from the revenue entries that S.No.12/1 is a temple land. The respondents are restrained from putting up any construction or structure in S.No.12/1.

5.As regards S.No.86/1, it is stated that it measures 1661 sq. mt and that it has been classified as vacant site in the village accounts. Pon Azhagu Amman temple and Village Administrative Officer's office building are situated therein. The remaining vacant site was sub-divided into S.Nos.86/18 and 19. Free house site patta had been issued to two individuals. The temple and the immediately appurtenant land of Pon Azhagu Amman Temple shall be maintained as such in S.No.86/1. 6.This writ petition is allowed on these terms.
