This petition has been filed to direct the second respondent herein to provide adequate police protection to the petitioner under due process of law on the basis of the petitioner's representation dated 24.11.2016.

2.Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (criminal side) for the respondents 1 and 2. 3.The petitioner sought police protection. Now, almost 4 years have been lapsed and hence, due to the lapse of period, the prayer sought for by the petitioner cannot be granted now. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2

CRL.O.P (MD) No.23263 of 2016 4.In view of the same, this Criminal Original Petition stands dismissed. No costs. However, the petitioner is at liberty to file a fresh complaint, on fresh cause of action, if so advised.
