ORDER

The petitioner herein seeks a direction to the first respondent to dispose of his appeal dated 10.07.2025 filed under Patta Passbook Act against the order of the second respondent in O.Mu.A1/2018/2024, dated 22.05.2024.

2.Heard the arguments of Mr.R.Murugappan, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.M.Gangatharan, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents. By consent of both sides, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

3.According to the petitioner, he filed a petition before the second respondent on 07.12.2023, seeking issuance of patta in the name of Kuppachi Koottathu Vagayara Sri Thattachi Amman Sri Karuppasami Temple. The second respondent dismissed the petition by an order dated 22.05.2024. Aggrieved by the same, the petitioner preferred an appeal before the second respondent on 10.07.2025. The said appeal has not

been considered till date. Hence, the petitioner has come before this Court.

4.The learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents would submit the the petitioner filed the appeal only on 10.07.2025 and therefore, if sufficient time is granted, the appeal will be considered by the first respondent in accordance with law.

5.In view of the same, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, the first respondent is directed to consider the appeal filed by the petitioner dated 10.07.2025 and pass final orders on its own merits, within a period of sixteen weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after affording reasonable opportunity to the petitioner and other interested parties. Accordingly, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
