This Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking for a direction to the respondents to provide adequate police protection to the BHEL Hospital situated at BHEL Township Premises, Trichy District on the basis of the representations given before the respondents on various occasions and lastly on 25.07.2023.

It is submitted by the learned counsel for the petitioner that is 250 bedded hospital is constructed for the employees of BHEL and recently, one of the contractors of the hospital has been changed and new contractor has allegedly removed some of the employees of the earlier contractor on which the family members of the said employees have been staging Dharna in front of the hospital by causing inconvenience to the public, patients, doctors and thereby a complaint was given to the respondent police however no action was initiated therefore sought for suitable directions.
3. The learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) appearing for the respondents submitted that the complaint of the petitioner was registered as CSR No.93 of 2023, dated 16.07.2023 and it was forwarded to the Tahsildar, 2/5
who was in turn conducted the peace committee meeting attended by the District Collector however consensus could not not be arrived at.
4. Learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) submitted that the respondent police will take suitable action against the persons who have been causing disturbance and they will be sent away from the hospital. The same is recorded.
5. Considering the circumstances, the respondent police are directed to dispose of the representation of the petitioner dated 25.07.2023 and shall take suitable steps by sending the persons staging dharna in front of the hospital causing inconvenience to the patient, their attenders, doctors and the staff.
