ORDER

This criminal original petition has been filed to direct the respondent to provide police protection to the petitioner's life and limb by considering the petitioner's representation dated 20.12.2016.

2.The petitioner seeks police protection for petitioner's life and limb. Now, almost four years have been lapsed and hence, due to the lapse of period, the prayer sought for by the petitioner cannot be granted now. However, the petitioner is at liberty to file a fresh petition, on fresh cause of action, if so advised.

3. With the above observations, this criminal original petition stands dismissed.
