ORDER

The petitioner herein seeks a direction to the respondents to consider the application submitted by him dated 02.06.2025 in Application No.2025/0103/34/456606 and to issue separate patta in his favour in respect of the property situated in Survey No.152/4, North Kuruvikulam Village, Kuruvikulam Union, Thiruvengadam Taluk, 2.Heard the arguments of Mr.P.Praveenkumar, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.A.Baskaran, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents. By consent of both sides, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

3.According to the petitioner, he purchased 4.94 cents of land in the above mentioned survey number under a registered sale deed dated

08.03.2021. The patta for the subject property was issued in the names of the petitioner and four others in Patta No. 1267. The petitioner submitted an application on 02.06.2025 seeking issuance of separate patta. The same has not been considered. Hence, the petitioner has come before this Court.

4.The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents would submit the petitioner failed to pay the necessary survey charges for subdivision and if the charges are paid, his request will be considered in accordance with law.

5. In view of the same, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, the second respondent is directed to make a specific demand mentioning the charges to be paid by the petitioner, within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. On receipt of necessary demand from the second respondent, the petitioner shall pay the necessary charges within a further period of one week. On payment of the necessary charges by the petitioner, the second respondent shall consider the application of the petitioner dated

02.06.2025 in Application No.2025/0103/34/456606 and pass final orders on its own merits, within a further period of eight weeks, after issuing notice to the petitioner, co-pattadhars in Patta No.1267, neighbouring land owners and other interested parties. Accordingly, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
