PRAYER: Criminal Original Petition filed under Section 482 of Cr.P.C, praying to direct the Respondent to file a final report in Crime No.13 of 2021 dated 30.08.2021 for the offences under Sections 354C, 354D 387 and 448 IPC and under Section 4 of Tamil Nadu Prohibition of Harassment of Women Act and under Section 66E and 67A of Information Technology Act, within the time stipulated by this Court. ORDER
This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the Respondent to file the final report in Crime No.13 of 2021 dated 30.08.2021.
2.The learned Counsel for the Petitioner would submit that the Petitioner is the defacto complainant. She had preferred a complaint against one Jeyanthan Joshua that he had taken photographs of the defacto complainant on his mobile and had threatened and harassed her. Therefore, she had preferred the complaint. Based on the complaint, the Respondent had registered the case in Crime No.13 of 2021 for the offences under Section 4 of Tamil Nadu Prohibition of Harassment of Women Act, 2002, Sections 354C, 354D, 387 and 448 IPC and Sections 67A and 66E of Information Technology Act. After registration of the case, the investigation had not proceeded. Therefore, the Petitioner seeks direction against the Respondent to file the final report after completion of the investigation within the stipulated time.

3.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor for the Respondent would submit that more than 7 witnesses had been examined. The investigation will be completed and the final report will also be filed within two months before the Court concerned.
4.Recording the submission of the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, this Petition is disposed of with a direction to the Respondent to complete the investigation and lay the final report within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order before the Court concerned. The Petitioner can always approach this Court for appropriate relief.
