ORDER
(Order of the Court was made by A.D.JAGADISH CHANDIRA,J.) This writ petition has been filed for issuance of a writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to grant 60 days ordinary leave to the petitioner (C.P.No. 23170) who has undergone imprisonment for more than 30 years, as per Rule 40 of Tamil Nadu Suspension of Sentence Rules, 1982, by considering the petitioner's representation, dated 12.06.2025.
2. Heard Mr.A.Manoj Kumar, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.A.Thiruvadi Kumar, learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents.
3.Taking into consideration the facts and circumstance of the case and the limited relief sought for in the writ petition and without going into the merits
of the case, there shall be a direction to the respondents to consider the representation made by the petitioner dated 12.06.2025 strictly in accordance with law and take a decision within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
4.With the above direction, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
