ORDER

This writ petition has been filed seeking for a Writ of Declaration, declaring that the General Body Meeting Notice dated 29.05.2014 issued by the 2nd Respondent in the Daily News paper namely Thina Thanthi is null and void, as per Rule V Clause 7(i) and Rule XV (1) of the by laws of the 2nd Respondent and for a consequential direction to the first respondent to conduct election to the 2nd Respondent society for selection of New Office Bearer for the period 2014-2017 with the assistance of any retired District judge to be nominated by this Court as per the by- laws of the society.

2. When the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that he has already given change of vakalat. But, till date, no one has filed change of vakalat for the petitioner.

Considering the fact that election for the subsequent period had already been over, there is no necessity to further adjudicate on the prayer sought for in this writ petition and accordingly, this Writ Petition is closed. There shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petitions are closed.
