ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed by the petitioner seeking police protection to stop the construction activities done by the second respondent in the properties in S.Nos.407/1, 388/1a, 388/4 & 387/1 of Vickramasingapuram Village, by considering the petitioner's representation dated 22.02.2016.

2. The learned Counsel appearing for the second respondent submitted that in view of the objections made by the petitioner and others, the District Collector, who intended to divert the Government funds for the construction of a Ladies Hostel in the aforesaid survey numbers, has withdrawn the proposal for construction, as such, the present petition itself has become infructuous.

3. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the first respondent submitted that the representation of the petitioner dated 22.02.2016 was duly enquired and the same was closed, by advising the parties to approach the civil Court. The learned Counsel for the petitioner acknowledged the said submission made by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor and has also made an endorsement in the Court bundle.

4. In view of the subsequent developments and also recording the endorsement made by the learned Counsel for the petitioner, this Criminal Original Petition stands closed.
