O R D E R

The petitioner's husband is said to have died in an accident. Hence Crime No.614 of 2015 was registered under Section 304(A) of I.P.C., by the third respondent. The petitioner seeks transfer of investigation.

2.When the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that it is a case of hit https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2

Crl.O.P.(MD)No.6010 of 2016 and run accident and that the police have filed a final report before the jurisdictional Magistrate stating that the case could not be detected. A copy of the same has also been given to the petitioner.

3.Since it is a case of hit and run accident, I am of the view that no purpose will be served by transferring the investigation to the file of the fourth respondent. Therefore, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed. The Government of Tamilnadu has issued a scheme for providing compensation in such case. It is always open to the petitioner to submit an application to the District Collector seeking compensation and as soon as such application is filed, the same shall be expeditiously considered.

4.With this direction, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed.
