ORDER
The order of suspension issued by the second respondent in proceedings, dated 12.06.2014 is under challenge. 2.An interim order of stay was granted by this Court and subsequently, a contempt application was filed in Cont.P.(MD)No.1298 of 2014. Thereafter, the petitioner was permitted to join duty as per the interim order and continuing for the past six years, during the pendency of this writ petition.

W.P.(MD) No.9733 of 2014 3.This being the factum, the Departmental Disciplinary Proceedings initiated as against the petitioner is to be concluded. This Court is of the considered opinion that the competent Authorities, who initiated the Departmental Disciplinary Proceedings, must ensure the early disposal of the same. Long pendency of the Departmental Disciplinary Proceedings would affect the service of the employees and would cause prejudice to the Public Administration. However, in the present case, the writ petitioner is working for the past six years.
Thus, the respondents are directed to proceed with the Departmental Disciplinary Proceedings and complete the same as expeditiously as possible by following procedures contemplated and by giving opportunity to the writ petitioner and thereafter, pass final orders in the Departmental disciplinary Proceedings, on merits and in accordance with law. 4.With this direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
