ORDER

This writ petition has been filed for a writ of mandamus directing the respondents to install a statue of a political party's leader at Corporation Park, Srirangam, Trichy District.

2.The learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondent No.1 submits that the Hon'ble Supreme Court in SLP(MD)No.8519 of 2006 has ordered that the State Governments shall not grant any permission for installation of any statue of any structure in public roads, pavements, sideways and other public utility places and therefore, this writ petition is liable to be dismissed.

3.In view above submission, this court is not inclined to entertain this writ petition. Accordingly, this writ petition is dismissed. No costs.
