2. As rightly pointed out by the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondent, the subject matter pertains to renewal for fire crackers license for the year 2015-16. The said period has since expired.

3. The petitioner's rights are left open. If the petitioner applies afresh, the same shall be considered independently and on its own merits. With this liberty to the petitioner, this writ petition stands dismissed. Non-renewal of the license for the aforesaid period shall not be put against him. This writ petition stands dismissed. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
