The petitioner seeks police protection as she apprehends threat at the hands of her husband. When the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Government Counsel stated that based on the complaint of the petitioner Crime No.90 of 2016 was registered on the file of the AWPS, Samayanallur. It appears that final report is yet to be filed in this case. If the final report is not filed, the investigation officer is directed to file the final report within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Since a direction has been given for filing the final report in the case registered at the instance of the petitioner, no further direction is required. 2.This petition stands disposed of accordingly.
