ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed, invoking Section 528 B.N.S.S., seeking orders to direct the respondents 1 and 2 to give police protection for life and limb of the petitioners and family members of the second petitioner by considering the petitioners' representation dated 14.08.2024.

2. The learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for the respondents 1 and 2 would submit that on the basis of the complaint given by the petitioners on 31.08.2024 before the second respondent, CSR No.751 of 2024 came to be registered and the third respondent was summoned and he has given a statement that he will not raise any issue with the petitioners.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioners would submit that earlier the petitioners have given a complaint before Tallakulam All 2/6

Women Police Station and since the third respondent, who is the father of the first petitioner, is working in police department, they have summoned him and at the time of enquiry, he has given a statement that he will not raise any issue with the petitioners and subsequently, since at the instance of the third respondent threatenings were continued, the petitioners were forced to lodge the present complaint before the second respondent.

4. As rightly contended by the learned counsel appearing for the petitioners, even after giving such a statement, since the third respondent has been continuing the threatening, the petitioners were forced to lodge the present complaint, but the second respondent, without taking any action, has again taken statement from the third respondent and on that basis, closed the complaint.

5. Considering the above, the second respondent is directed to take necessary action on the basis of the complaint given by the petitioners within a period of two days from today (02.09.2024). 3/6

6. With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition stands disposed of.
