ORDER
This Writ Petition is filed for issuing a Writ of Mandamus directing the third respondent to provide the information sought for by petitioner in his representation dated 31.07.2014 and to direct the first respondent to initiate legal action against the third respondent.
2.Heard the learned Counsel appearing for the petitioner, the learned Counsel appearing for the first respondent and the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents 2 to 4. 3.The petitioner has sought for certain information with regard to the coercion proceedings initiated by the respondents by closing and sealing the theatre premises. In relation to the extent, the petitioner has approached the Public Information Officer to furnish the information required by the petitioner. The petitioner thereafter submitted a representation before the District Collector complaining that the Public Information Officer failed to furnish the information within thirty days as required under the Right to Information Act. After making representation, the petitioner has come before this Court for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus. 4.
The information sought for by the petitioner are information which can be furnished by the respondents and no legal bar to furnish the information to the petitioner is brought to the notice by respondents. In such circumstances, the third respondent is directed to provide the information sought by the petitioner in his representation dated 31.07.2014 within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order.
5.This Writ Petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
