Respondents Prayer: Writ petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the second respondent to consider and dispose of the petitioner's complaint dated 07.06.2021 in the light of the dictum laid down by the Hon'ble Supreme Court of India in the case of Mahendra Chawla V. Union of India and others reported in 2018 SCC Online SC 2679 as expeditiously as possible within the time stipulated by this Court. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents.

2. The petitioner has lodged a complaint in Crime No.416 of 2020 registered on the file of the second respondent. The case was registered because the petitioner's wife was threatened. The petitioner now alleges that the accused in the said case are continuing to threaten him and forcing him to withdraw the complaint. The Hon'ble Supreme Court in the decision reported in (2019) 14 SCC 615 (Mahender Chawla and Others V. 3. Therefore, the second respondent is directed to enquire into the petitioner's petition mentioned complaint and take action as per law. This writ petition stands disposed of accordingly. No costs.
