ORDER : The Court made the following order :- The petitioner, who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent Police for the alleged offence under Sections 8(c), 20(b)(ii)(B) of NDPS Act and Section 4(1) (i) of Tamil Nadu Prohibition Act, in Crime No.420 of 2024, seeks anticipatory bail. 1/3

2. The case of the prosecution is that the petitioner and other accused were in illegal possession of 4.800 Kgs of Ganja. Hence, the complaint.

3. Heard the learned counsel on either side and perused the material records of the case.

4. Considering the nature of allegation that the petitioner is said to have involved in a case under NDPS Act, where 4.800kg of ganja was recovered from A1 and A2 and they have given a confession statement, implicating the present petitioner and considering the fact that the offence was unearthed only on 02.08.2024 and the investigation in at a nascent stage, this is not a fit case for grant of anticipatory bail.

5. Accordingly, this Petition is dismissed.
