ORDER
The petitioners herein seeks direction to the respondents to issue Patta in their favour in respect of the property in their occupation near Parasurampatti Kanmoi, Kannanenthal Village, Madurai District.
2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.A.Baskaran, learned Additional Government Pleader, who takes notice for the respondents 3/6

When the writ petition is taken up for hearing, the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents raised objections stating that the petitioners have not submitted any individual representation before the respondents and the writ petition is filed based on the general representation submitted by the President of the Panchayat.
4. In view of the same, the petitioners are directed to submit an individual representation before the 2nd respondent regarding their entitlement to patta for the property in their occupation within a period of twelve (12) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. On receipt of the individual representation from the petitioners, the 2nd respondent shall consider the same and pass appropriate orders on its own merits in the light of various Government Orders issued by the Government including G.O.Ms.No.43 dated 29.01.2010. While considering the request of the petitioners, the 2nd respondent shall ensure no portion of the water body is encroached.
