ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition filed, under Section 528 of BNSS., seeking orders, to direct the respondent police to file final report in Crime No.35 of 2023 on the file of the All Women Police Station, Colachel within a stipulated period that may be fixed by this Court. 1/4

2. When the matter is taken up for hearing today, the learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for the State would submit that on the basis of the complaint given by the petitioner, FIR in Crime No.35 of 2023 for the alleged offence under Sections 498(A), 294(B), 323, 447 and 506(i) of IPC. He would further submit that they have already examined six witnesses and that the investigation is in progress. Hence, he seeks two months time to file final report before the jurisdictional Magistrate Court.

3. Recording the submission made by the learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side), the respondent police is directed to complete the investigation and file final report in Crime No.405 of 2023 before the jurisdictional Magistrate Court, within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4. With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition stands disposed of.
