Prayer: Contempt Petition filed under Section 11 of the Contempt of Courts Act, 1971, to punish the contemnors for the deliberate and willful disobedience of the order dated 28.03.2024 passed by this Court in W.P. (MD)No.6620 of 2024.

ORDER

The petitioners herein along with others filed W.P.(MD)No.6620 of 2024. The writ petition was allowed on 28.03.2024 with a direction to TANGEDCO to give service connection in favour of the petitioners herein. Contending that the order of this Court has not been complied with, this contempt petition came to be filed.

2. When the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned standing counsel clarified that as far as the first petitioner is concerned, it is only for the tariff change and it has since been effected. As regards the second petitioner, he had been called upon to comply with certain procedural 2/4

formalities. Once the petitioner complies with the same, TANGEDCO is ready to give service connection. As regards the third petitioner, the application itself was submitted only on 20.09.2024 and that she has rushed to this Court prematurely. I am satisfied that no contempt has been made out.
