Prayer: This Criminal Original Petition filed under Section 482 Cr.P.C., to issue a direction, directing the respondents No.1& 2 to grant police protection for "Life and Limb" of the petitioners as well as to maintain the tail roof of the Eastern portion of the residential house of this petitioners at Middle Street, Kovil Kuruvithurai Village, Vadipatti Taluk, Madurai District and for the Agricultural Land in Sy.No.240/4B measuring an extent of 2 acres 72 1⁄2 cents in Kovil Kuruvithurai, Vadipatti Taluk, Madurai District within the time stipulated by this Court, on the basis of the petitioner's representation dated 26.07.2021. ORDER

This petition has been filed seeking direction to direct the second respondent to give police protection for the petitioner's life and limb and also their properties.

2.The learned counsel for the petitioners would submit that the fourth respondent in order to wreak vengeance against the petitioners, not allowed the petitioner to maintain their tail roof on their eastern portion and picked up quarrel and attempted to create law and order problem. Therefore, the petitioners gave a representation to the respondent police seeking for police protection. Since the same was not considered, this petition has been filed seeking appropriate direction.

3.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent police would submit that appropriate orders will be passed on the representation of the petitioners on merits. 4.Considering the above, the second respondent is directed to conduct enquiry on the representation given by the petitioners, after issuing notice to the petitioners and the fourth respondent and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The Petitioners and the fourth respondent are at liberty to produce the relevant document before the second respondent.

5. With the above direction, the Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
