ORDER

The petitioner, who was working as Conductor in the second respondent/Transport Corporation, has filed this writ petition seeking a direction to the 1st respondent to dispose the appeal dated 10.09.2021 filed by him expeditiously.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner was working as Conductor in the second respondent Transport Corporation and due to his illness, he was unable to attend duty regularly. In this regard, the petitioner has also given leave application and medical certificate to the second respondent. However, without verifying the same, the second respondent herein vide proceeding in Tha.Aa.Po.Ka/Kumba/ Karur/TS/D1/7251/2020 dated 31.07.2021, dismissed the petitioner from service. Aggrieved over the same, the petitioner has preferred an appeal before the first respondent dated 10.09.2021. Even after a lapse of two months, the first respondent did not pass any order on the petitioner's appeal dated 10.09.2021.

In view of the limited prayer as sought for in the writ petition, this Court, without going into the merits of the case, is inclined to direct the first respondent to dispose the appeal filed by the petitioner dated 10.09.2021 on merits and in accordance with law within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Accordingly, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
