This petition has been filed to quash the proceedings in C.C.No.247 of 2017 on the file of the learned Judicial Magistrate, Uthamapalayam, as against the petitioner.

2. The learned counsel for the second respondent submitted that the matter has been settled between the petitioner and the second respondent amicably. Therefore, the pendency of the trial in C.C.No.247 of 2017 would not serve any purpose.
