PRAYER: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Habeas Corpus, to call for the entire records pertaining to the Order of Detention passed by the second respondent in his proceedings Cr.M.P.No.13/2021 dated 23.09.2021 and quash the same as illegal and produce the detenu namely, Vinoth @ Vinothkumar, S/o.Annavi, aged about 25 years, now confined at Central Prison, Tiruchirappali, before this Court and set him at liberty.

The petitioner is the mother of the detenu, namely, Vinoth @ Vinothkumar, S/o.Annavi, aged about 25 years. The detenu has been detained by the second respondent by his proceedings in Cr.M.P.No.13/2021 dated 23.09.2021, holding him to be a "Goonda", as contemplated under Section 2(f) of Tamil Nadu Act 14 of 1982. 2. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent, by producing a copy of G.O.Rt.No.5754, Home, Prohibition & Excise (XV) Department, dated 26.11.2021, would state that the impugned detention order has been revoked and hence, the prayer sought for in this Habeas Corpus Petition has become infructuous.
3. Recording the same, this Habeas Corpus Petition is dismissed as having become infructuous.
