PRAYER: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a writ of mandamus directing the respondents herein to grant compensation to the victims who were detained in the Valanadu Shooting Range from 22.05.2018 to 23.05.2018 and initiate departmental enquiry against the police officials incharge attached to the Police Station of Morappanadu, Pudukkottai in Tuticorin District and Valanadu Shooting Range based on the petitioner's representation dated 08.06.2018.

[Order of the Court was made by R.MAHADEVAN, J.] The prayer in this writ petition is for issuance of a writ of mandamus directing the respondents to grant compensation to the victims who were detained in Valanadu Shooting Range, on 22.05.2018 and 23.05.2018 and conduct departmental enquiry against the police officials attached to the Police Stations of Morappanadu, Pudukkottai in Tuticorin District, based on the petitioner's representation dated 08.06.2018.
2. The learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents 1 & 3 submitted that as the Enquiry Commission itself has submitted its report on 18.05.2022 to the Government, no further adjudication is required in respect of the grounds raised in this writ petition.
3. Recording the above submission, the writ Petition is closed. No costs.
