Respondent PRAYER : Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 2nd and 3rd respondents to survey the petitioner land and place the survey stones comprised in Survey No.23-12B to an extent of 0.13.50 Ares (33 cents) situated at Koviloor Village, Aalangudi Taluk, Pudukottai District based on petitioner representation dated 07.01.2021 within a time frame fixed by this Honourable Court.

By consent of both parties, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission itself. 2.The petitioner had given a representation to the second respondent / Tahsildar, Alangudi, Pudukottai District with respect to the lands in Survey No.26-12B measuring 0.13.50 ares / 33 cents at Koviloor Village, Alangudi Taluk, Pudukottai District. 3.The petitioner claims that the property had been settled on him by his mother by way of a settlement deed, dated 02.09.2020. The said settlement deed has also been registered. The patta also stands in the name of the mother. Now the petitioner seeks survey of the lands and fix the boundaries. W.P(MD)No.20690 of 2021 4.Heard, Mr.S.Alagusundar, learned counsel for the petitioner and also Mr.D.Ghandiraj, learned Special Government Pleader for the respondents.

5.In view of the facts stated, a direction is issued to the second respondent to take the assistance of the third respondent / Taluk Surveyor, issue notice to the petitioner, examine the documents of the petitioner and after satisfying himself, proceed further to survey the lands of the petitioner mentioned aforesaid and also mark the boundaries and complete the said process within a period of 12 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6.With the above observation, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
