PRAYER : Writ Petition, filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this court to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 07.04.2025 with regard to register the death of the petitioner's aunt namely; Angammal and issue death certificate of the petitioner's aunt namely; Angammal within the period that may be stipulated by this Court. ORDER

This writ petition is filed for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus to consider the petitioner's representation dated 07.04.2025 with regard to register the death of the petitioner's aunt namely; Angammal and issue death certificate.

2. The learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents submitted that the petitioner ought to submit newspaper publiction as per G.O.Ms.No.324, Revenue and Disaster Management Department dated 28.06.2023.

3. On perusal of the said G.O., it is seen the G.O. has directed the 1st respondent herein to issue a form. The petitioner on receipt of the form ought to issue paper publication. If the 1st respondent herein has issued the said form and thereafter ought to have directed the petitioner to co-operate as per G.O.Ms.No.324, Revenue and Disaster Management Department dated 28.06.2023.

4. Thereafter, the 1st respondent is directed to strictly adhere to the directions issued in the said G.O. After complying with the above procedure the respondent shall pass appropriate orders, within a period of 12 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of the order.
