Respondents / Complainants PRAYER : Criminal Original Petition filed under Section 482 Cr.P.C., to direct the first respondent to transfer the investigation from the second respondent in Crime No.161/2021 dated 17.10.2021 on the file of the second respondent police earlier to any other agency or any other competent officer under the supervision of the first respondent.

For Petitioner : Mr.E.Balasubramanian For Respondents : Mr.M.Veeranthiran Government Advocate O R D E R The petitioner has filed this petition seeking transfer of investigation in Crime No.161 of 2021 registered on the file of Namanasamuthiram Police Station for the offences under Sections 147, 294(b), 324 & 506(i) of IPC and Section 4 of Tamil Nadu Prohibition of Harassment of Women Act, 2002.

2. The petitioner's counsel reiterated all the contentions set out in the memorandum of grounds.

3. The wife of the second accused is said to be working as police constable in Chennai. The specific allegation of the petitioner is that as a result of the influence exerted by her, the second respondent is not only going slow in the matter of https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2

Crl.O.P.(MD)No.18145 of 2021 investigation, but is also putting pressure on the petitioner to withdraw the complaint. The petitioner's counsel also points out that a false case was registered against the petitioner's son as counter blast in Crime No.474 of 2021 on the file of the Thirumayam Police Station.

4. On going through the materials enclosed in the typed set of papers, my conscience is troubled. However, the learned Government Advocate assures this Court that investigation would be conducted on the right lines and final report will be filed within a period of four weeks from today. The concerned hospital authority is directed to issue wound certificate without any delay. The final report shall be filed in the matter within a period of four weeks from today. The first respondent is directed to vet the final report that may be filed by the second respondent.

5. This Criminal Original Petition is disposed of with the aforesaid direction.
