Heard the learned counsel on either side.
2.The revision petitioner was prosecuted for the offence under Section 138 of the Negotiable Instruments Act by the respondent herein. The case initiated by the respondent ended in conviction. The same was put to challenge by filing the criminal appeal in Crl.A.(MD)No.56 of 2015 on the file of the Mahila Court, Karur. The Appellate Court, while confirming the conviction, modified the sentence alone. The same was challenged in this revision case.
3.This Court indicated that since the petitioner is a Government servant, he ought to get the matter settled. Heeding to the suggestion given by this Court, the petitioner had approached the respondent and paid the amount in question and the issued has been amicably resolved.

Crl.R.C.(MD)No.301 of 2016 that the matter has been compounded. Since the offence itself has been compounded, the Judgments of the Court below are set aside and the criminal revision case is allowed. Since the offence has been compounded, the petitioner will not incur any disqualification.
