ORDER

This Writ Petition is disposed of at the time of admission with the consent of the learned counsel for the petitioner, the learned Government Advocate for the respondents 1 and 2 and the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) for the third respondent and after dispensing with the notice on the fourth respondent, as no adverse orders are proposed to be passed against the fourth respondent.

2. This Writ Petition is filed for a Mandamus to direct the first and second respondents herein to dispose of the petitioner's application, dated 27.06.2025 by following the procedures laid down under The Maintenance and Welfare of 2/5

Parents and Senior Citizens Act, 2007.

3. Suffice to state that the petitioner has filed an application under Sections 5 r/w 6 of the Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizens Act, 2007, before the second respondent.

4. The learned Government Advocate for the respondents 1 and 2 submits that the petitioner's application will be considered and disposed of within a period of two (2) months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. Recording the same, this Writ Petition is disposed of by directing the second respondent to consider the petitioner's application 27.06.2025 and dispose of the same within a period of two (2) months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. Considering the fact that the petitioner is a homeless senior citizen and also considering the age of the petitioner i.e about 69 years, there shall be a 3/5

direction to pass an interim order within a period of four (4) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and thereafter, final orders will be passed on merits, after hearing the fourth respondent.
