Mr.S.M.S.Johnny Basha, learned standing counsel takes notice on behalf of the respondents.

2. By consent, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

3. The writ petition has been filed by the petitioner praying for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 3rd respondent to provide electricity connection to his land in Sy.No.375/2 in Kuttam village, Radhapuram taluk, Tirunelveli district. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

4. The case of the petitioner is that the third respondent herein has received an application on 02.11.2016 from the petitioner for provision of electricity connection to the petitioner's property. But no action has been taken by the third respondent. Therefore, on 03.07.2017, the petitioner made a representation to the respondents 1 to 3 and requested to provide electricity connection. Till date, no steps have been taken by the respondents to consider the representation of the petitioner. Aggrieved over the same, the petitioner has approached this Court by way of filing this writ petition.

In view of the above, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the claim made by the petitioner, the third respondent is directed to consider the representations of the petitioner dated 02.11.2016 and 03.07.2017 after affording an opportunity of personal hearing to the petitioner and the petitioner may furnish all the particulars that are relevant for the purpose of effecting service connection to the petitioner. The above said exercise shall be completed by the respondent within a period of four(04) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. With the above direction, the writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
