PRAYER : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent Nos.1 to 4 to restrict the Respondent Nos.5 to 11 from using motor engine for take water from Periyavanthalai Kanmai. ORDER

The present Writ Petition has been filed for a Writ of Mandamus, directing the official respondents 1 to 4 herein to initiate appropriate action as against the private respondents for using motor engine for drawing water from the Periyavanthalai Kanmai illegaly.

2. The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the official respondents submit that the private respondents are alleged to have drawn water in the year 2015 and as on today, there is no illegal 2/4

drawing of water using motor engine from Periyavanthalai Kanmai. He further submits that there is no water in the Kanmai as of now.

3. In view of the above said facts, this Court directs the official respondents that no party should be permitted to draw water illegally from the Kanmai using motor engines in future.

4. With the above said observation, the writ petition stands closed. There shall be no order as to costs.
