This writ petition has been filed for issuance of a writ of Mandamus directing the first respondent to grant 6 days emergency leave without police escort to the petitioner's son namely Perumal @ Pethaperumal, S/o.Perumal, aged about 37 years, life convict, bearing convict Prisoner No.23331, PID No.34432, confined at Central Prison, Trichy for attending the serious illness of his wife namely Mrs.Muthumari, on the basis of the petitioner's representation dated 27.06.2025 and reminder dated 21.07.2025.

2.Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents.

3. Taking into consideration the facts and circumstance of the case and the limited relief sought for in the writ petition and without going into the merits of the case, there shall be a direction to the respondents to consider the

representation made by the petitioner dated 27.06.2025 and reminder dated 21.07.2025, strictly in accordance with law and take a decision within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 4.With the above direction, this Writ Petition stands disposed of.
