This writ petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondent to consider petitioners' representation dated 23.02.2023 and issue patta to the petitioners regarding the properties SR.No.78/1A, 78/3, 78/4, 79/1, 78/1A, 78/3, 79,1, 77/1, 78/1A1, 78/1B, 78/1A, 78/3, 79/1, 78/1A and 78/4 measuring total extent of 9 acres 60 cents situated in Mukkampatti village, Madurai within a period stipulated by this Court.
2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioners and the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondent.

The petitioners submitted a representation to the respondent for issuance of patta regarding the properties SR.No.78/1A, 78/3, 78/4, 79/1, 78/1A, 78/3, 79,1, 77/1, 78/1A1, 78/1B, 78/1A, 78/3, 79/1, 78/1A and 78/4 measuring total extent of 9 acres 60 cents situated in Mukkampatti village, Madurai. However, no action has been taken on the said petition. Hence, the present writ petition has been filed.
4. Learned Additional Government Pleader, appearing for the respondents, submits that the petitioner's representation would be 2/4
considered on merits and in accordance with law.
5. In view of the above submissions, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondent to consider the petitioners' representation dated 23.02.2023 on merits and in accordance with law, and pass appropriate orders within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Needless to say that if any rival claims, the same shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the civil Court. There shall be no order as to costs.
