This case is listed today at the instance of the learned counsel for the petitioner under the caption "for being mentioned". Page No. 1 of 4

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that by the proceedings dated 09.03.2024, the representation of a third party, namely, Shanmuganathan, dated 20.06.2023, seeking cancellation of patta, was rejected; that however, in the order dated 04.12.2025 passed in this Writ Petition, it has been wrongly stated as the petitioner's representation had been considered and rejected; and that the petitioner's representation dated 30.05.2023 is still pending consideration and therefore seeks appropriate orders from this Court.

3. In view of the above submissions and considering the undertaking given by the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondent that the petitioner's representation will be considered and appropriate orders will be passed, Paragraph Nos.3 and 4 of the order dated 04.12.2025 are substituted with the following paragraphs:

"3. The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondent would submit that the representation of the petitioner dated 30.05.2023 would be considered and appropriate orders would be passed within a period of eights weeks Page No. 2 of 4

4. Recording the above submission and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, this Writ Petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 30.05.2023 and pass appropriate orders on its merits and in accordance with law within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The representation shall be disposed of after conducting an enquiry. The respondent is also directed to provide a reasonable opportunity of hearing to the petitioner and any other interested parties who may be affected by such decision, before passing any order. There shall be no order as to costs."
