Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents herein to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 14.10.2015 and set right the canal in the usual flow by forbearing the fifth respondent from dumping the canal with a view to redirect the flow of water in the canal situated between Survey Nos.232 and 233 in Poosaripatti, Devathur Village, Oddanchathram Taluk, Dindigul District.

Heard both sides.

2. The writ petitioner is owing agricultural lands in Poosaripatti Village. His grievance is that on account of dumping activity carried out by the President of the local body, the natural flow of water through the petition mentioned channel was obstructed. That led to filing of this writ petition. 2/4

3. When the matter was taken up for final hearing, the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the official respondents submitted that the obstructions created in the canal have since been cleared and now the usual flow of water has been restored. It is further undertaken that in future also no such obstruction will be created or permitted.

4. Recording the said submission of the learned Additional Government Pleader, this writ petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
