ORDER

This writ petition has been filed challenging the impugned notice dated 21.05.2018 issued by the fourth respondent vide Ref.No.F&R/IFST/Sree Kumar Textiles/17, demanding recovery of a sum of Rs.12,89,648/- from the petitioners towards the dues arising under the Interest Free Sales Tax (IFST) loan availed by the first petitioner company.

When the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents 2 to 4 submitted that the State Industries Promotion Corporation of Tamil Nadu Limited (SIPCOT) has made a recommendation to the authorities concerned to consider the petitioners' case for waiver of interest in respect of the said loan.

3. In view of the above submission and taking into consideration the efflux of time, this Court directs the first respondent to accept the recommendation made by the State Industries Promotion Corporation of Tamil Nadu Limited (SIPCOT) and extend the benefit of waiver of interest to the petitioners.

4. With the above directions, this writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
