Prayer : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to reimburse the medical expenses for a sum of Rs. 55,437/- incurred by the petitioner for the treatment of Covid-19 based on recommendation dated 06.09.2022 by 2nd respondent and representations dated 09.05.2023 and 29.05.2023 preferred by the petitioner.

ORDER

The present writ petition has been filed seeking a Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondents to reimburse the medical expenses for a sum of Rs.55,437/- incurred by the petitioner for the treatment of Covid-19 based on recommendation dated 06.09.2022 by 2nd respondent and representations dated 09.05.2023 and 29.05.2023 preferred by the petitioner.

2. Heard Mr.V.P.Rajan, learned counsel for the petitioner, Mr.J.Ashok, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents 1 to 3 and Mr.C.Karthik, learned counsel appearing for the 4th respondent.

3. When the matter was taken up for hearing Mr.C.Karthik, learned counsel appearing for the 4th respondent submitted that if the petitioner furnishes the bank details, the 4th respondent could settle the eligible amount of reimbursement to the 3/6

petitioner.

4. Mr.V.P.Rajan, learned counsel for the petitioner has agreed to furnish the bank details of the petitioner by 06.06.2024 itself.

5. In view of the same, the 4th respondent is directed to consider the representation of the petitioner and settle the claim of the petitioner within a period of one week from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No Costs.
