O R D E R The Criminal Original Petition has been filed, invoking Section 482 Cr.P.C., seeking orders to call for the records pertaining to the case in M.C.No.79 of 2014 pending on the file of the Additional Mahila Court (JM Level), Madurai, and quash the same.

2. When the matter is taken up for hearing today, the learned counsel for the respondent would submit that the trial has already been commenced and that P.W.1 was examined in chief, but not cross-examined.

3. It is seen from the records that the case is pending from 2014 for more than 8 years.

4. Considering the above and also pendency of the case for more than 8 years, this Court is of the view that the trial Court is to be directed to complete the trial and dispose of the case within a time frame fixed by this Court. Hence, the trial Court is directed to complete the trial and dispose of the case in M.C.No.79 of 2014 within a period of one month from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and both the parties are directed to extend their co-operation for disposing of the case within the time stipulated by this Court.

5. With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
