ORDER

The petitioner has filed this writ petition for a Mandamus directing the 3rd respondent to issue the Renewal Application form of Licence and Registration Certificate for running his cable TV business.

2. Today, when the matter is taken up for hearing, there is no representation for the petitioner.

3. The learned Standing Counsel appearing for the 3rd respondent submits that the petitioner has not applied for renewal of Licence and 2/4

Registration Certificate in the prescribed form. If any such application is made with the prescribed fee, it would be positively considered by the 3rd respondent.

4. Considering the submission made by the 3rd respondent, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the petitioner to submit an application in the prescribed format as contemplated under Cable Television Networks (Regulation) Act, 1995, before the third respondent, within a period of three weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. If the petitioner fulfils the eligibility criteria, his application shall be considered within a period of twelve weeks from thereon. No costs.
