RESPONDENTS Criminal Miscellaneous Petition filed praying that in the circumstances stated therein and in the petition filed therewith the High Court may be pleased to direct the Respondent No.1 to admit the detenu by name Chandra, W/o.Late Perumal aged about 51 years in Aravind Eye Hospital, Madurai or Government Rajaji Medical College Hospital Madurai as an inpatient to provide better treatment for my eyes until it gets recovered.

Prayer in Habeas Corpus Petition(MD) No. . 734/ 2023 : Petition praying that in the circumstances stated therein and in the affidavit filed

therewith, the High Court will be pleased H2-DO. To call for the entire records in Detention order no.34 of 2023 dt. 11.05.2023 and Quash the same and direct the respondents to produce the body or person of the detenue Chandra, w/o Late Perumal aged about 51 years, now detained as Drug Offender at Madurai Special Prison for women before this Honorable Court and set her at liberty forthwith. Order : This Criminal Miscellaneous Petition coming up for orders on this day, upon perusing the petition filed in support thereof and upon hearing the arguments of M/S.ALAGUMANI.R, Advocate for the petitioner and of Mr.A.THIRUVADI KUMAR, Additional Public Prosecutor on behalf of the Respondents, the Court made the following order:- The prayer in this petition is for a direction to the respondents to admit the petitioner either in Aravind Eye Hospital or Government Rajaji Hospital, Madurai, for better treatment of her eyes. The present application was filed on 11.08.2023.

2. Today, when the matter was called, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, on written instructions, submitted that the petitioner has been referred to the Government Rajaji Hospital, Madurai, and accordingly, Ophthalmologist therein had prescribed for correction glasses. As such the grievance of the petitioner has been redressed and therefore, no further orders are required to be passed in this petition. Accordingly, this petition stands closed.
