ORDER

The Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking orders to direct the respondents 1 and 2 to provide adequate police protection to the petitioner's life and limb based on the petitioner's representation dated 01.08.2024.

2. It is not in dispute that the petitioner is the mother of the third respondent.

3. The learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for the respondents 1 and 2 would submit that earlier on the basis of the complaint given by the petitioner, FIR came to be registered in Crime No.257 of 2024 on 30.07.2024 for the alleged offences under Sections 296(b), 115(2), 118(1) and 351(3) BNS, 2023.

4. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that even after registration of FIR, the third respondent has been threatening and harassing the petitioner to withdraw the complaint and to give property in his favour and that though the petitioner has given a representation on 01.08.2024, there was no action. 2/4

5. At this juncture, the learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for the respondents 1 and 2 would submit that they have not received any representation subsequent to the registration of the FIR.

6. Considering the above, the petitioner is directed to give a fresh representation before the second respondent and on receipt of the same, the second respondent is directed to consider the same and take a decision within a period of three days from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

7. With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition stands disposed of.
