ORDER : The Court made the following order :- The petitioner /accused, who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offences punishable under Sections 6(4) of Tamil Nadu 1/3

Scheduled Commodities (RDCS) Order, 1982 r/w. Section 7(1)(a)(ii) of Essential Commodities Act, 1955 in Cr.No.188 of 2024, seeks anticipatory bail.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Crl. side) appearing for the respondent Police and the learned counsel for the intervenor.

3. Considering the huge quantity of PDS rice involved i.e., 4500 Kgms and considering the nature of allegations made by the prosecution that petitioner is only the owner of the vehicle and is involved in the business of sending these PDS rice to the neighbouring states and considering the fact that the petitioner has got two previous cases, I am not inclined to enlarge the petitioner on anticipatory bail.
